I miss...
the simple, pure enjoyment of films I used to have. I don't know if it's just because I've grown older and more jaded and cynical or if it's due to the internet now presenting me with way too much information and too many opinions about films before I ever get to see them.
All too often I'm now not able to experience a film on its own merits. Instead I sit there evaluating it against my preconceived ideas of what it is and what it should be and what people I'd like to do well and who I want to see fail.
I hate that I've become like this and yet I'm unable to stop spoiling it all for myself.
