Say What? Mamma Meryl

I asked you to amuse us with a caption or dialogue for this still from next summer's ABBA musical Mamma Mia. By popular demand the winner is Kurtis ...
*
But we also have to give it up for Vince's...
Meryl: Fernando, honey, I know we're on a budget here, but isn't it time we broke down and bought a back scratcher? Something smaller and portable?

psssst. ABBA week is coming in mid September. Why? Who knows really ... just humor me

Pierce: Psst, Meryl...You know I used to be 007...I know how to make a speedy exit from a bad movie.

Meryl: (sigh) It's no use. We're trapped...on film....forever!

Meryl: [sigh] Daniel Craig was better.

Pierce: What was that?

Meryl: [quickly] Nothing.

Pierce: Why did I sign on for this?

Meryl: you wtf, why did I sign on for this?

Pierce: Because you're so desperate for another Oscar win, you signed on for about 20 roles.

Meryl: Sigh, so true.

Meryl: At least this is a role that doesn't call for cartoonishly over-acted stereotyping.

Pierce: Yes, you've gotten so good at that in 2007.

Pierce: "That blue looks great on you Meryl."

Meryl: "Ugh, it's not blue, it's cerulean."

The great divide: Brilliant actors vs. good ones.

Meryl: I can't let him see me. I asked for Shakira Shakira hair extensions....not mug shot Lindsay.

Regardless of the quality of the film, I love ABBA. Genius pop music composition. And I am thrilled to see Pierce Brosnan have such a substantial film role again. I was quite worried for him, the other week he headlined a putrid direct to TNT film called SHATTERED, probably filmed several years ago. I thought he was great in THE MATADOR, much better than the movie.

Is it too early to declare a winner here?

Pierce: Stand up straight. You're only slumming in this film, not slumping.

I could hurt someone like me,
Out of spite or jealousy.
I dont steal and I dont lie,
But I can feel and I can cry.
A fact I'll bet you never knew.
But to cry in front of you,
That's the worse thing I could do.
Unless it gets me another Oscar.

I'm a HUUUUUGEEEE ABBA and Meryl Streep fan - and would love it if this role scores her her (much much much awaited) 3rd Oscar next year!

And before you bag me - I think your no. 1 Michelle may just score her first - albeit supporting - for Hairspray!

The reviews i've read is that she is brilliant in it!!!

p.s. Happy 3rd birthday! Really love this blog. Keep it up mate!
