Good News: Black Swan Spreads Its Wide Wings

Your wait is over (or nearly so depending on where you live). Due to its constantly packed houses -- it's been landing in the top ten US box office daily despite being on less than 100 screens -- Black Swan goes wide quite a bit earlier than expected. Tomorrow the one-of-a-kind movie flies into 800+ more theaters. Enjoy. Report back.

Same here! I'm going to Atlanta for Christmas. My mom allows me to make her watch one movie per year...should I? It's playing at her favorite mall...

i still cannot believe it won't be in my town or any nearby towns even with this expansion :(

i should boycott the theaters in small towns like mine to start playing films worth seeing

Saw it the other day. The climax was pretty great, but the characters were so under-developed, which would have been fine if the rest of the movie was more exciting/scary.

@The Pretentious -- No way! I just went to see it at the AMC in Phipps Plaza last week. Is that the mall you're referring to? Either way it's a must-see.

Nope. It's going to be opening at Stonecrest. Although I do love me some Phipps Plaza...Gah BadMofo, you're making me feel so nostalgic for Atlanta!

I'm seeing it for free tonight at a theatre near Oklahoma City.

I love working at a movie theatre, haha.

I am so jealous. I live in Turkey and it won't open before the end of February! Can you believe, almost March! I am so worried that someone will spoil it for me.

Seeing it here in Columbus this Saturday... so excited!

I saw it last weekend, and I've decided it's mostly a black comedy. I give it a B.

Seeing this tonight! So excited! "I'm so excited . . . I'm so . . . scared!" That's my random Elizabeth Berkley reference of the day for ya! Oh "Saved by the Bell" memories. This film better be leagues above "Showgirls" though. I got a weird vibe from one of those trailers that reminded me of that film. Team Natalie!

Hopefully, the expansion includes better screens than the one I saw in Del Mar from UltraStar Cinemas. There was a spot on the screen that was constantly under the characters' noses and it looked like boogers were coming out constantly. On the upside, I spent just $6 for the Early Bird screening.

Just saw Black Swan... I cannot say the movie was a masterpiece, but it was very good and engrossing ..
however, Natalie Portman was sensational.. I have seen all of the Best Actress performances that are probably going to nominated for Oscar, and none hold a candle to her... Jennifer Lawrence comes very close... Annette Benning should NOT win over these two ... she was good, but not great!!

I am officially starting the: "Black Swan" is not that amazing topic. Nathalie Portman is OK. but not THAT amazing (Hello! A.Bening). Im a HUGE fan of D.Aronowski & I think that every movie he's done before is better than this one. Including "The Fountain" which is way more layer, complex & moving.

This happens every time. People hype up a movie to get other people to see it and then there's just no way that it can live up to those expectations.
