Requests? I Miss Them

I assume y'all remember when I use to take requests. I'm officially restarting that weekly feature. Now I know everyone wants the basics: reviews, top 100 lists, moulin rouge recap, etc.. but what I'm looking for is requests for shorter less research-heavy demanding topics --one suggestion I loved was "the cast of Buffy in the movies" but that woulda required weeks of work. Have an easier topic? Ask for it!

previous requests: Best Child Actors (for John T) Classics I Haven't Seen (for Glenn) Favorite Animals (for Cal) Cher (for David) and The Sound of Music (for Becky) * Dolly Parton (for Dusty) *

Well, I would really like you to finish the listing/description of your personal canon. That's not so research-intensive is it? You already have the list (I've seen it, via some strange link), but I'd like the commentary on each of your favorite 40 or so films.

And more retro film bitch awards are always good (*cough1990cough*).

With the election coming up, how about the best politician-turned-actor or actor-turned-politician?

What bad films would you love to see remade, and who would you cast?

The Adventures of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert!

For completly selfish reasons: The films and screenplays of Andrew Niccol.

Also,
I still don't know that I've heard your opinion on Studio 60, and as you know, it is a moral imparative that all bloggers express their opinion on this show.

or, just because it would be funny.

Those are all good ideas.

But re: The Notes on a Scandal trailer...

I don't know about anyone else, but I totally still wanna see it. That trailer was HOT. Judi Dench is so getting nominated.

And yeah, re: trailers... I think a "top five trailers" for the year, i.e. a new film bitch category, would be awesome (as I have said before).

Love to see a list of your top 25 contemporary American filmmakers, and their best work.

Anything classic film related. More specifically, Katharine Hepburn. Even more specifically, Tracy + Hepburn pairings. Or maybe Grant + Hepburn pairings. What I mean is anything Katharine Hepburn related.

Wait - did someone just say Judi Dench will get nominated...?!

Adam K - you say the nicest things!

Anon, I thought you were going away.

Camel: It should be obvious to anyone that there's more than one anonymous coward on the internet. I've never said anything about going away.

Sure, the trailer gives a lot away, but it still got me excited to see the movie. Now I actually want to read the book before I see the movie, since the plot's already been spoiled.

The top ten films featuring a member of the Sheen/Estevez clan. No more than five films per Sheen.

Movie "One Hit Wonders." Actors/Actresses and/or Directors. Who wowed you, then went away?

I know this might sound corny, but in honor of Thanksgiving, it would be fun to know which films that feature restaraunts or dining are your favorites and why. Diner, Pulp Fiction, Better Off Dead, A Christmas Story, American Graffiti, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner are just a few that come to mind. :)
