I have this memory of being in a friend's house when I was about 8 or 9 and him putting on this film for us to watch. His dad walked in, looked at the television screen and said "Ooh, Robin Williams! Isn't he so funny?". I said that I thought he was creepy and unfunny, and the look I recieved from the man. Like, baffled hostility. My first taste of the divisiveness of actors.
Actually, if you really stop and think about it, Robin Williams is pretty creepy. Would you want to date him?
Unfunny, I don't know. Most people think he is funny. Comedy is a matter of taste. i think he's genius and hilarious, but comedy is pain, and if he's one of the most funny guys, he must be in the most pain... which brings us back to creepy. i think i agree. (Insomnia and One Hour Photo, hello!?)
Just saw him again in Good Will Hunting, it's one of his best. His worst for me was that awefull What Dreams May Come thing...yuk!
this is probably the movie i've watched most when i was a kid.. it's head to head with Space Jam but if i have to choose one of them today it's jumanji all the way ahh such good memories
Watched this movie all the time up until I was 10. In high school, if I was in class and there were weird rumblings from another room like desks being moved above or basketball in the gym below, I would say slowly half-intrigued/half-terrified "...Jumanji." Childhood classic.

I definitely used to watch this movie like every day...being eight was fun.
Same here, one of my favorite childhood films.
I loved Jonathan Hyde in it.

He's my neighbor (well, he lives less than a mile away anyway). I've seen him go for dim sum in my neighborhood.
Oh my! That was the first movie I saw in a theater, so it's quite special for me!
Being stuck in a floor would suck.
Metaphor for his career?
