Hump Day Hottie, Natalie Wood

Was there ever a prettier brunette in Hollywood?
[That's a rhetorical question. The correct answer is "no" -editor]

Liv Tyler. Bio-pic. Oscar. Now.

Elizabeth Taylor, I'm afraid. But 'tis close.

Why restrict it to brunettes? Oh wait, look who I'm talking to.

And Liv Tyler? Ew.

Being a little Gigante (oxymoron much) and watching a copy of West Side Story was a good move in founding my belief that Natalie Wood is a serious contender for "prettiest." Shame it wasn't her singing voice.

What about Audrey Hepburn?

she isn't as revered as she probably should be,what about ava gadrner.

I have to agree with matthew lucas. Audrey Hepburn is untouchable as far as I'm concerned.

Check out The Oscar Nazi for year-round predictions and analysis.

yeah; spendor in the grass....she was very very pretty. great smile. her movie career was over - i doubt she could have ever regained her place. she looked a little puffy in meteor (just on TV about a week ago). she probably would have moved into made-for-TV movies, lifetime stuff....then even a sitcom! "Natalie!"....single mom, Natalie Carson, starting life over with two young kids, kookie neighbor, sassy black landlord. she's an editor at a local newspaper with a crusty / yet heart-of-gold boss.

I believe Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty may have been the two prettiest people EVER in "Splendor in the Grass".

I love Natalie!!!! One of the greatest ever!

Is anyone else reminded of her by Catherine Zeta Jones?

Anonymous said...

Um, no. Natalie can blow Catherine out of the water any day with her immense talent and beauty. There is no comparison. And I like Catherine!

You've hit on my all time favorite as a beautiful and talented actress.. I saw her once when she was married to Bob Wagner the first time .. they were in Vegas at a Frank Sinatra show .. she was like a Dresden doll... actually as beautiful off screen as on.

Natalie's was the first celebrity death that made me cry when I was a wee thing. (And it still stands as one of the most horrid and senseless, in a way - not the result of self-abuse like so many stars, but a stupid accident.) She was about to go into a stage production of Anastasia with Sir Laurence Olivier, as I recall, so who knows if her career might have found new life on the stage.

And she reminds me a little of my mom (yes, my mom is very attractive, although Natalie is prettier), so it's funny that in a way, I still miss her.
