What a great flick to happen right in the middle of the tundra of the movie musical.

I mean is there anything else that happened in between Caberet and Chicago even worth mentioning?

Ok, maybe Grease, and Fame.

Chris, I take it you're not a Moulin Rouge fan...

...although it's hardly a conventional, classical musical in any sense I admit (even if I do love it to pieces.)

I also must admit - with great embarrassment - that I've not seen LSOH in either it's stage or screen incarnations. I've wondered though, just based on the reviews and so forth I've read, why Frank Oz was able to get it so "right" with LSOH and so "wrong" with a nonmusical satire like Stepford Wives. (what a mess) Does Oz have the same problem as Rob Marshall re: nonmusical films (Portrait of a Geisha, anyone?)
