Can you name the movie?
Cinematography by Bill Butler

Talk to Her tops my list both for the year and for the decade. Adaptation comes a safe second (didn't think Kaufman could outdo BJM, but then he did - then I didn't think he could outdo Adaptation - and then he did). That said, both were relegated to the three-and-a-half star category upon first viewing. They each only blew my mind upon the second and third and fourth viewings (more and more each time, I love movies that do that). Talk to Her now ranks comfortably among my all-time favorites (the only other Aughts releases that do are Volver, Kings and Queen, 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days, Brokeback Mountain and Christmas Tale).y kant goran rite on the best films of 2002 in the ongoing decade in review.
11 chatty moviegoers:
Jaws...of course.
JAWS
too easy... although i'm not sure i woulda guessed it myself. seashores being so common.
It helps that it has been on a steady Encore rotation lately...I watched it three days ago.
I guess the 70s hair in the first shot would give it away too.
I got it right!
I can't believe I finally guessed one right before seeing the comments - AND I've never seen the entire film, just snippets here and there. (So yeah, I guess this one is probably too easy.)
Have you actively sought to devise a new activity that I'd be even worse at than the Actress Psychic Contest, despite its being even more tempting and fun? (Bening voice:) "Well, you've succeeded admirably." I do love it, though. I'm just so bad at it.
i guessed it too, is the second i guess with The Fugitive, but i didn't need a hint for this one.
That's the first one I've ever been able to get! So definately too easy LOL. I just finished watching Speilberg on Speilberg. He spoke of how they originally were going to have the shark seen from the start but their first mechanical shark sunk. So as not to slow down filming while they fixed the shark, they came up with the idea to save the first view for that scene where Roy Schneider is putting out the burley. Much scarier after all the suspense. Who didn't jump 20 feet in the air the first time they saw it.
By the way I enjoy this series. I've started taking notice of first and last scenes.
Oh and while I was watching that programme I was thinking if Nathaniel used this jaws for first and last I would get it. Seriously.
