Today's Embarrassing Confession

I can't stop reading articles about Megan Fox. If I were a teenage girl I'd clearly be a cutter.

She does give provocative quote.

As much as I have no interest in her, she is a great interviewee. Besides having the mouth of a sailor, she seems very self-aware, which is not a common thing among young, pretty up & comers.

She's the devil in hotpants. People who scream that CGI is the death knell of cinema? Not true. It's Megan Fox and the vacuous pout of doom.

Still would, though.

I actually always think her cursing and "realness" always seems a bit contrived, a bit trying-too-hard. Like she knows the game, knows she is sex on legs and is not taken seriously as an actress and consciously wants something to set her apart - more than giving Brian Austin Green handjobs in public has. She's ridiculously hot and I actually don't even think she's the most terrible actress alive. I just kinda wish she didn't think that candid swearing makes her incredibly bad-ass. Less is more Megan, less is more...

In Entertainment Weekly's new interview with Fox, they ask:

"Do you think you're good-looking?"

And she replies:
"Well, I'm clearly not ugly."

I'm glad that we got that cleared up.

::sigh:: Her publicist is a genius. They clearly came up with this idea to label her the next Angelina so let's have her say these outrageous quotes so that she's considered a wild child and Shia Labouf is not helping by calling her the Sexiest woman in the world and how much he wants to get with. If Alba doesn't watch it she'll be out of work soon. I'm not buying what they're selling.

Megan Fof bores me but now that I was reminded of Alba... Give Megan the thrown and lock Alba in the dungeon!!

But Nate, how can you be embarrassed by that and totally proud of your love for Hathaway? She has given ONE memorable performance. And the cuteness... She is cute in the same way all my girlfriends are! Nothing more! And she screams "I'm trying to keep the balance between sweetness, serious and not-so-serious roles, sensitive but also strong". it's like she grew up in the perfect family having the ideal childhood! Oooh, everything about me is so perfect! I'm not sure whether it bores me or it makes me angry!

PS: I'm half kidding but the serious part is, I don't find her special and given that Pfeiffer is your favorite, i really don't get what you see in her though you have partly explained it. :p

Sacrilege! Anne Hathaway is a goddess. To even mention her in the same blog post as Jessica Alba and Megan Fox is surely a sign of the Apocalypse!!!

jim T i think Hathaway was terrific in two pictures (Brokeback & Rachel) and twice terrific is enough to get me excited if

a) the actress can sing and
b) i like her on red carpets/awards shows/interviews.

so there ya go.

So funny! Last night, in the very late hours of the night, I was just checking articles about Megan Fox, too.

About her and about Angelina Jolie moving to Portugal. Could it be true?

Any interest i had in her just killed itself when she said this:

"”I think all women in Hollywood are known as sex symbols. That’s what our purpose is in this business. You’re merchandised, you’re a product. You’re sold and it’s based on sex. But that’s okay. I think women should be empowered by that, not degraded.”

What a dumb twat!

She said that??? Well... she is a 100% hollywood product, she is supose to say that right

Its a quote from her EW interview. I've always wanted to give people the benefit of the doubt but this woman is an oversexed nut job.

Set aside the argument about all successful women making it in Hollywood are sold off as sex objects (because of course, we all know that Academy members are actually whacking off to a pin-up of Meryl Streep in a thong just before they post off their oscar ballots, *rolls eyes*); but she actually has the nerve to complain in a mens mag over how 'heartbroken' she was over these 'legendery' directors who kept trying it on her at auditions and then in another interview goes onto discuss how women should find this empowering and not degrading... I'm sorry but have I missed something here?

Is this the 'self-awareness' that people are responding to? Even Jessica Alba wasnt this dumb!

And seriously, whats with the thumb-sucking???

Nate, I have to clarify that I wouldn't "critisize" you (it's more like I'm making fun of you :p) just because I have a different opinion. It's just that I couldn't accept that YOU feel like that about someone like Hathaway. You were very polite in your explanation (as always) and although I'm not more convinced than before, I feel ready to accept your choice.

PS 1: It was more the realization of my growing as a human being and not so much the Hathaway thing. I don't take everyhting so seriously. :p

PS2: I thought she was good in BBM, just not memorable. I'm done! I'm done!
