Happy Administrative Professionals Day!

I apologize for the absence of posts today. I clearly need a secretary executive assistant!

Selina Kyle has a rough day at work. And afterwards, too

My four favorite movies about administrative professionals are probably Executive Suite (1954), Secretary (2002), 9 to 5 (1980) and Batman Returns (1992). What? Batman Returns is totally about a secretary. Which movie were you watching? The title is misleading because Batman is barely in it. It's a gothic dramedy about a lonely secretary and her open window policy for the neighborhood cats. It's all about the secretary and she's in every single frame of the movie. At least that's the way I remember it.

If you are an administrative professional the Film Experience sends you virtual flowers today and encourages you to leave work early. Don't let your evil CEO push you out an impossibly high window. Don't let them work you like a dog!

I love all of those films, but would have to include on my own list Clockwatchers, that movie with Parker Posey and Toni Collete.

Haha perhaps I should tell my boss I have to leave early because the great Nathaniel Rogers states I have to:)

Oh Maggie, you are special when you get sexual - please get those bright eyes sparkling again.

BeRightBack -- YES. that is so underrated. Love Parker in that.

Nat I just asked the other day what I was missing with Executive Suite, which I just watched and found unbelievably boring, so now you've gotta tell me why you like it. Because I know people like it, it's supposedly some sort of a classic. It just bored me to DEATH. I am dead, typing this. DEAD.

You're actually not that far off about Batman Returns. There's so little of the titular character in it that it's not really a "Batman" film at all, but a depressing Tim Burton film featuring a few Batman characters. I have mixed feelings about the actual movie, though I agree that La Pfeiffer is purr-I mean, awesome in it.

Pfeiffer is in every single frame of White Lies Beneath ... and Batman Returns ... yeah, you''re right.

There's an incredible Spanish movie, The Method, about 8 people in a room fighting for a job in a big company. Think Wall Street meets 12 Angry Men. I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E!

What about Gable, Harlow and Mirna Loy in Wife vs Secretary?

You may Netflix The Method. So thrilling!

That's definitely the way I remember it too, Nat.
