Do share in the comments -- or maybe you're just Christmas shopping?
Sorry I've been away: internet connectivity problems today. Have you already started your holiday break?
I must see several movies this weekend and over the holiday week so as to finalize all the year in review goodies and listicles, the 11th annual Film Bitch Awards are right around the corner. The new website is on the way too though I'm having a few engineering snafus -hence the delay. Ack! Where are my magical elves to fix it?

I just saw Black Swan - love ! Winter's Bone hopefully for the weekend, if my homework permits.
I will be seeing The Fighter tonight!
I hope to find the time to see White Material. Claire Denis always makes me think and I love Isabelle Huppert.
I saw a special screening of RABBIT HOLE at the Avon where John Cameron Mitchell did a Q&A afterward… the film was quite good (Kidman outstanding) and Mitchell was such an engaging, humble guy who emphasized—what we’ve known for the last decade—namely that Kidman is “one of the most adventurous actresses working today”.
Also, he mentioned Nicole told him she doesn’t think she’s “very good in ‘pop-corn’ movies”. Either way, I don’t think any of us would complain if she spent the rest of her career working solely with auteurs ;)
oh, and can't wait for the Film Bitch Awards!
Which reminds me: Remember when Aronofsky was going to follow The Wrestler with The Fighter? For those yet to see Black Swan, I will forgo a certain comparison that I originally planned to make.
Instead, I'll ask you this: If Aronofsky and Brad Pitt had never left what is now David O. Russell's film, who wouldn't have been nominated?
Best Director:
Aronofsky, The Fighter
Boyle, 127 Hours
Fincher, The Social Network
Hooper, The King's Speech
Lynch, Black Swan
Nolan, Inception
Yes, "Lynch." As in David. I know you can see it, too.
I saw The Fighter tonight, and I'm finally seeing Black Swan tomorrow!
I'm watching Rabbit Hole tomorrow hopefully. I've never been THIS excited about seeing a grief movie before... oh Nicole, what have you done to me?
anything but Yogi Bear.
I saw Black Swan today and it was great! I really like Natalie!
I finally caught up with the rest of the world and saw The Town, which I thought was fantastic. Now that I'm off of school, I'll be seeing Black Swan, Tron Legacy, The Fighter, and True Grit once it opens. Unfortunately for me, Rabbit Hole and The King's Speech aren't going to be playing down here in Miami anytime soon :( Ditto for Winter's Bone. I don't know how I'm going to get a hold of them before awards season is through...
Sunday: 127 Hours
Monday: Harry Potter 7
Already rewatched The Ghost Writer, then caught up with Never Let Me Go and Greenberg. Probably going to get started on Satoshi Kon's Paranoia Agent tonight, too!
Then it's on to Exit Through the Gift Shop and Renoir's La Chienne, I think. Time for a movie-packed weekend!
MACHETE! yesterday!
Scenes of a Marriage, maybe tonight.
Well, nothing much comes out here in Australia til after Christmas and that's when my next opportunity to go is - will definitely see The King's Speech - Black Swan and Tangled not out until January, want to go and see Winter Bone and Heartbreaker too....
Black Swan for sure; maybe The Fighter.
SAG PREDICTION:
Actor: Colin Firth, THE KING'S SPEECH
Actress: Natalie Portman, BLACK SWAN
Supporting Actor: Christian Bale, THE FIGHTER
Supporting Actress: Melissa Leo, THE FIGHTER
Ensemble: THE FIGHTER
Seeing Black Swan (!!!), The Fighter (!), and How Do You Know :( on Sunday
I have write a review for the last one, which is the only reason I'm seeing it
I watched Tron:Legacy last night and really enjoyed it.
Tonight, I'm going to watch Howard's End.
I saw THE FIGHTER yesterday (I was a bit underwhelmed). Going to see PHILLIP MORRIS today & WHITE MATERIAL on Sunday.
Dimitra -- eeep. CLASSIC. enjoy.
Saw Black Swan last night. Wow. No words really. The Fighter is on tap for tonight.
I just saw the the newest Narnia and am trying to seperate the fan service that made me clap many times in the film from the bad things happening on screen in every scene.
I have to find a new copy of Winter's Bone as the one I was borrowing looked like someone threw it through a pile of broken glass. I'm doing The Figher on Monday or Tuesday and maybe 127 Hours, too. I'm still fearful of my claustrophobia and acrophobia kicking in during that film.
Hopefully The Fighter, and maybe TRON: Legacy for fun. Finally got to see Rabbit Hole last night; beautiful, painfully honest movie. Kidman and Eckhart were just outstanding (why on earth is he being ignored almost everywhere!?).

I watched "Mother and Child." I *LOVED* it. You are right, it was schematic and Watt's "thaw" wasn't as organic as the screenplay allowed it. But, I'm a sucker for the schematic (I also loved *cough* Hereafter).
I saw "The Fighter" last night. Yay! David O' Russell has finally made a film that I loved! It was difficult to sit through most of Bale's scenes, but, once the pay-off happened, I was pretty floored. Really great movie. I hope it gets its share of Oscar attention.
I'm going to go see "Rabbit Hole" now on this rainy L.A. day and hopefully sneak into "127 Hours" afterwards.
"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"
"Tron: Legacy"
and
"2h37".
Hoping to either see these films that just opened here: All Good Things, Black Swan, The King's Speech, Tron: Legacy, I Love You Phillip Morris OR these recent ones I haven't seen yet: 127 Hours, Tangled, Four Lions, Today's Special, Fair Game.
Black Swan finally in town so obviously that. But at this point I don't really know how to approach it without what I'm assuming are unreasonably high expectations.
Tron! Uh... Tron: Legacy.
"Tron: Leacy" on Saturday (the missus and I are engineer-nerds who have fond memories of the 1982 original) and either "Black Swan" or "The Fighter" on Sunday. Whichever of the two gets missed is next up when time and timing permit.
Went to see Black Swan yesterday afternoon. Overall - I enjoyed it. I came away from the film with a few thoughts regarding Portman's performance ; thoughts I shall never ever share for fear of being hunted down by rabid Black Swan fans. LOL
