Speaking of French films...I recently viewed Jean Cocteau's "La Belle et la Bete." I was completely entranced by the cinematography. I was wondering about your thoughts on it? Possibly one of those reader request Monday things you used to do?
Yeah, "Beauty and the Beast" is definitely a great film. Visually delicious and groundbreaking. For those who love it, Cocteau's "Beauty and the Beast: Diary of a Film" is well worth reading. Making a film is never an easy process, there's just so much involved. But this one had more than it's share of problems, not the least of which was Cocteau's health.
