You know I have not. I guess I'm that much of a purist. But dammit if I paid my $10.00 then I'm going to enjoy my movie. There's always plenty of time to make out later.

But perhaps the movie is bad. I've walked out of a movie and gone to make out with a girl.

I've also walked out on a girl and gone to see a movie. Unsurprisingly she didn't give me my $10.00 back.

My girlfriend and I were making out pretty hot and heavy throughout Shark Tale. It was just so damn dull. The theater was packed full of people with children. So, that kind of put a brake on things. After a while.

Shark Tale? You'd think that would kill any appetite. Including the sexual kind. Ugh that movie

Nope. I actually lifted my then-girlfriend's hand off my knee at a movie. I'm such a heel. (Better yet: she actually married me.)

Only one. 'The Notebook'.

Rebound that I desparately needed, beginning of senior year in High School.

I still stand by my decision. The movie called for it. Syrupy, overlong, not particularly memorable.

...neither was the makeout sess, come to think of it.

I watched about 1 second of the Bad News Bears remake... the room was empty of course (only benefit of paying for a terrible movie).

i once received oral pleasure while watching frida.

I did go on a date to see Babel and the guy I was seeing wanted to make out. I felt bad. I dragged him to see that movie and he got nothing in return. But Karma is a bitch and now with this new guy I'm seeing, I cant even get a lousy hand hold.

But I think the people I date know better than to do that at a movie. I'm with Robert after paying $10 to see a movie...I'm watchin the damn movie.

C'mon Nathaniel...whats your answer. Give US the gory details.

Yes. M. Night Shymalan's 'Lady in Water'.

When I get frustrated, I have to channel that frustration elsewhere. My date got the brunt of my channeling.

That being said, I still haven't forgiven M. Night for that atrocity of a movie.

I cannot tell a lie. I spent almost the entirety of a practically empty late screening of Chicken Little embroiled in a shameless make-out session. Second place: holding hands.

I threw popcorn at a couple who were. That's the extent of it though. :(

The second time I saw The Day After Tomorrow in theaters I had to find something interesting--and it wasn't on screen.

Corky Romano, and not just making out

I made out with a girl once while watching "Curly Sue". And I in fact performed digit love on same girl watching Leonard Nimoy directing Gene Wilber in "Funny About Love".

I did not see a lot of good films in 1991.

I did grab my bf's hard on during "Shortbus"

mrripley i am horrified that Julie Taymor art-directed your porno

cenzig & middento nope i haven't. I always watch the movie --even if it's bad. video/DVD watching on the other hand... there are several movies i didn't make it all the way through. The quickest watching to bowm-chika-bowmbowm (or however you type that) was The Last Action Hero. I think i saw 10 minutes of it only

edot i can't forgive m night for that movie either but at least you got something out of it

drew LOL. i am pretty amused that many of these answers have been family films though.

Sad story: I actually was planning to have my first kiss at a movie (yes, I planned it). Me and the guy went to LOTR: The Two Towers (hey, I'm young, and I was a late bloomer) together, and I was fully intent on getting my first smooch in the theatre...but then, when the film started, I realize my priorities were different than I'd anticipated. Yup: I was more into the movie than into the guy.

I got my first kiss in the driveway after he took me back home. But in retrospect, the fact that I thought LOTR was more interesting than him should have been a sign.

We actually got into the "White Countess" on purpose to make out... It was either that or Cars :P. I have no idea of what that movie is about...

When I was still thinking I was half into girls (*cough* Freshman year *cough*), my date kept trying to hold my hand and rub my knee during "Matchstick Men," but I was intent on focusing on the movie.

Should've been her first clue.

In Baltimore, we're lucky enough to still have a drive-in theater, so I vaguely remember making out with dates during "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and "Stardust."

And the less said the better about fellatio during "Pretty Persuasion"....

I used to actually pull this one off quite frequently. Here are some of the movies I remember "watching" in high school/middle school:

Chocolat
Where the Heart Is
Sweet Home Alabama
The Fast and the Furious
Hearts in Atlantis

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of stereotypical "chick flicks," but that doesn't excuse Vin Diesel and Anthony Hopkins, does it?

I actually made out this past Friday when watching the gay movie "The Four Letter Word". It was a okay movie from what I could tell but I started kissing my date and just realizing how much I really liked him that I didn't care about the audience or the movie at all.

Yes, Meet the Fockers-I still couldn't tell you a thing about that movie.

As for at home, I am SOOOOO ashamed to admit this, but the first time I saw Sunrise, I didn't make it more than five minutes in before I'd stopped paying attention. I saw the movie later, and I realized I would have better off the first time watching the flick.

Me and my then-boyfriend weren't making out during "21", but we were definitely feeling up a storm.

Oh, yeah! Well, it wasn't in a theater, but... okay, my then-bf were at a friend's house with a bunch of other people having a movie marathon... well, not exactly... 'Good Luck Chuck' and 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' - both were terrible so we spent the entire time making out.

Ugh, I was crushed between my boyfriend and this guy who was making out with his gf (they were taking up, like, a quarter of the couch... seriously, five midgets could have sat where they were sitting), and I didn't want to accidentally touch the latter guy inappropriately so I had my legs closed together really hard for like four hours, so I had majorly bruised balls for a couple days afterwards. It was the same for my bf, so we had a very painful tryst in the car afterwards.

I made out during "The Family Stone." It was pretty awesome (the making out, not the movie). In retrospect, I think maybe we were trying to compensate for the completely asexual, boring gay couple in that movie by putting on a little show for everyone else.
Then when we saw Brokeback Mountain like a week later...nothing. But that's understandable for obvious reasons.

I gave a guy head during Happy Endings, and the movie was so funny I was laughing while I was doing it and choked on his dick a little.

Sam Brooks said...

During Red Eye, I openly prevented my then-girlfriend from making out with me, because I actually wanted to watch the movie. We broke up shortly afterward.

It's not my fault I found Cillian Murphy more appealing than her.

Uggh...Zodiac, 300 and Transformers. I was "back together" with my ex for a while and broke my own rule that I don't make out in movies. Shame on me. :-(

this one date started making out with me during the climax of Runaway Jury (which I enjoyed). i turned her head so I could watch the movie over her shoulder.

My wife and I started dating when we were 17, so without a place of our own, we had to be creative. Beginning with the Winona Ryder horror movie Lost Souls, we started buying tickets to movies we flat-out didn't want to see but would probably be pretty empty. Things started innocent enough - a little kissing at The Grinch, some petting at Bounce - but quickly got perverse. I learned how to please a lady at Antitrust, did everything but the obvious at Blow, and did things at The Mexican that would make Gene Hackman blush. We did (and still do) have a strict no-hanky-panky rule for movies either of us actually wants to see, although we couldn't help break that rule at a rep screening of The Piano (the only time I've done it in a ladies' room stall).
