F&L 48

First and Last: the first image after the opening credits and the last shot before the final credit scroll.

Can you guess the movie? The Oscar nominated cinematography is by Tony Pierce-Roberts

[highlight for the answer]: This is the great Merchant/Ivory film A Room With a View (1986) for more first and last puzzles, click the label below.

Isn't the last picture almost the same as the poster for "A Room with a View"

Way too easy Nathaniel. You can't hide Helena Bonham Carter [my imaginary wife] from me.

Could you head over http://encorentertainmnt.blogspot.com/2009/08/calling-all-readers_24.html and vote in the polls...up to 5 votes for each.

Room with a View! One I actually knew right away, whee! (And only because of that last image.)

ROOM WITH A VIEW 4 sure! It was the view that gave it away. Remember what Barbrara Walters says about the view, "Be careful what you wish for."

Helena Bonham Carter is life. If this were the world according to me, she'd have an Oscar for Wings of the Dove and a collection of nominations. She's fabulous!

Mike I need to live in that world too. She was far and away the best actress of 1997. (sigh)

This was the only one in the first and last series I would have guessed correctly.

Oh, I knew this one too, but I'm late as usual.
