Japanese Story.

I could see the Qantas plane in the background and figured it's probably Australian...

Bad enough when this series has films I've never seen - worse still when it's a film I've seen and I still never can guess! (argh)
But yes, it is very underappreciated -Collette is fantastic in it, but that goes without saying.

I have no idea why but that film has been on my mind.
Japanese Story is pure 100% fab. That last, long scene was, for me, near unmatchable during the '00s. Wonderful.
I adore this film. I love how the narrative effectively just stops halfway through, so riveting is Toni Collette's performance.
Yes, the film is quite good but it is Collette that just blows everyone outta the water. She is incredible.
Spotted this right away but beaten to the punch. I saw this just two weeks ago: the first two-thirds of a film I could watch again and again, but just never will because of the unbearable last third, which I just barely bring myself to watch at all, it was so shocking and painful. It stuck with me for DAYS. Toni Collette is just brilliant in this.
this movie got one of those dread Dec 31st release dates to bury it. ugh, i hate hollywood sometimes.
