Anne Hathaway is Pretty

I was watching The Devil Wears Prada (again) the other night and I had the following collosally obvious realization: Anne Hathaway is, like, really really pretty. Beautiful in the big full memorable sense of the word.

Have you had a startlingly obvious epiphany of late? If so, share in the comments.

Yeah, Anne is so wholesome girl-next-doorish that it tends to obscure the fact that she's also majorly physically attractive. I think a lot of people had that realization when watching Prada.

Yes sir, gorgeous lips and big, beautiful brown sparklers. Spot-on observation, man.

Except for the bad ending, "Prada" is great. Live it, feel it, believe it.

Anne Hathaway is gorgeous!

Yeah, what's up with that ending? It is rather silly. I get that they were going for a big, cathartic rejection of the Nazi-istic cut-throat working world, but who would ever just throw their cell phone (or BlackBerry or whatever it was) in a pond like that? And what ever happened to 2 weeks notice? And the whole "let me explain all the morals of the movie to you in a few sentences" thing with the boyfriend was annoying.

And yet, I really wasn't bothered by the ending that much. Maybe because of that all-redeeming Streep close-up that followed. I dunno.

Wow, I have no idea why my comment was posted five times. But I guess it's worth repeating.

And, at the risk of sounding horribly shallow, Miranda is totally right! They do live the life so many others want to live, and I have a really hard time believing that Andy would suddenly get her morals back. And those friends of hers! Gah. Still, I thought the movie was great. When Meryl Streep comes onscreen and makes you instantly loathe her, you know she's got to be a goddess.

After she ditched Miranda and threw her BlackBerry into the pond, I kept wondering to myself, "How is Annie going to get home?" Silly but true. So yes, the ending didn't resonate but who cares? The film itself was such a fun little summer diversion, and everyone acquited themselves quite nicely. Go divas!

she's funny-looking, and the reason the devil wears prada never really works is because she bought nothing to a one-dimensional character, so the entire time, you felt for meryl streep, who was, you know. actually acting.

I love Anne Hathaway!!! I'm just surprised I didn't explode while watching it! She's underrated and it sucks now that after Brokeback, for she receieved no "awards" unlike her co-stars, the same thing is happening this year for "Prada"

I can't wait to see her in Becoming Jane which I am predicting to become the Keria in Pride & Predjudice and receive an Oscar nom for it...She plays author Jane Austen.

Yeah! I watched this the other night on DVD too (again) and when she's all dressed up lookin pretty she looks really pretty. Like, babe-ish levels of pretty. That montage of her wearing the different outfits was an eye-bug moment.

The ending was kinda silly (don't be so ethical Andy!) and there are moments that are odd (like, after a big montage of Andy's clothes it's only on the 20th outfit that Miranda and Emily notices?) but the thing that bugged me the most were Andy's friends. They're really stupid. Like, I'm sorry working in an art gallery is so great that you wished everybody worked there too but some people need to earn a living and have to do legwork to get there. She didn't show up for dinner a few times? Boo freakin' hoo.

But, seriously, the movie is so fun to watch. It's pretty much the new movie that I'll be able to put in the DVD player no matter what my mood.
