I had to chuckle when I was reading reviews and I came across a line that went something to the effect of "Swank goes Pfeiffer" (referencing "Dangerous Minds"). If that ain't comparing one of your most loathed to one of your most beloved, I don't know what is.

I like Swank, but even I have to admit that she doesn't look the least bit convincing here.

"Once upon a time, Renee Zellweger had a wonderfully open face, and her early, best roles (Jerry Maguire, The Whole Wide World, One True Thing) had a surprising reserve of expression that made her very easy to watch. Now, many years later, that face has utterly frozen into a human version of a scrunchie, and appears as if it will shatter into 1,000 pieces if an honest smile were to break out. Whether this should be attributed to the nip/tuck factory or not is irrelevant, it just proves that as each year progresses, this particular actress gets less and less interesting, and in the dreadful biopic Miss Potter, she never leaves the screen for a second. And that's very bad news, indeed. "

Funny. The newspaper I picked up this morning at my parents' house in Cheyenne heads: Swank earns 'A' in role as teacher.

Which to believe, which to believe...?

They actually mention Patrick Dempsey in some of the TV spots; bet they wanna attract the Grey crowd?? Since Swank is one of the exec producer of this, I also bet she wished this got limited release in December and the whole Oscar sneak attack happen all over again. Lucky for us that didn't happen!

You can expect her counter attack in PS I Love You.
PS: I Love Her.

- cal roth

(No matter how bad she is this movie (really?), she'll never overcome Annette Bening's dreadful overacting in almost everything she's done. DEAL)

(just kidding)

This doesn't look particularly interesting. I don't hate Swank the way you do, though. While neither of them would have made my ballot in 2004, I preferred Swank's work to Bening's. I'm somewhat the same with Zellweger. I despise her work in Miss Potter and Cold Mountain, but I hold out hope that she'll redeem herself again, since I used to love her. I cling to the fact that the fresh and fun Down with Love came out the same year as Cold Mountain as evidence that she's not in some irreversible slide.

Hilary Swank has given only one good performance - Boys Don't Cry. She was amazing.

Everything else has sucked. Especially The Core.

He did not know what injury she might blonde weiber sex have sustained; She might havebeen seriously hurt, if not actually killed. It is possibly my fault that Ihave failed, oratorically, to convey to the gentlemen of the jury thefull tuerkish videos force and significance of the defendant's signals.Great excellences, schlampen privat my dear Prue, I sometimes allow myself to say,lie concealed in the depths of character, like pearls at the bottomof the sea.But this lesben kostenlos time helaid down the spyglass, and leaned against a column of the piazza, andwatched the vessel with an intentness that he could not explain.

That's like the worst game of Madlibs I've ever played!

LOL

On the matter of Swank/Freedom Fighters. It's being released on the very first weekend of January. THE VERY FIRST! If that doesn't say something about the film's quality then I don't know what does.

Katrina, why would he wanna say anything positive about her, considering he doesn't actually like her?

I feel bad for Swank, because I loathe her for beating Bening for Being Julia, even though clearly it isn't her fault.

She is, however, a tedious celebrity at best and her undeserved 2nd best actress oscar will force us to sit through her subpar talent through a lot of worse movies than this one unfortunately.

This movie looked shitty to begin with though anyways. I want to see a gritty, urban school drama where everyone ends up the same way they started. These movies are too emotionally manipulative to be effective in my book.

I absolutely adore the advertising for "Freedom Writers". Another "white woman saves black delinquent children" marketed to white audiences. Sia is playing in the trailer, for God's sake.

I do love Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit though.

Like, a lot
