First and Last, "I Saw Her"

the first and last image from a classic movie

Can you guess the movie?

If you need a hint, here are the first and last lines of dialogue:
First Lines "Monsieur ______"
"Yes?"

"It's about time you blew your horn."
Last Line
"I saw her. I know that I saw her."

Highlight for the answer if you're still stuck: LES DIABOLIQUES (1955)

I watched this about 3 days ago. So I'd feel guilty for guessing it first :/

Is it "Les Diaboliques"?

Had to see the "Monsieur" before I got it, but is it Mon Oncle?

You've got it Seisgrados. It's LES DIABOLIQUES. Does anyone remember the remake with Sharon Stone & Isabelle Adjani? Why remake this, you know?

Still on my must-see list but yeah... I never did get remaking classics. Why redo something that was already good in the first place?

I haven't seen it since college, aka forever ago, so I can't defend this opinion with full-on remembrance, but I used to LOVE Sharon Stone's hugely campy performance in the remake.

Me too! The film is so-so but Stone is hilarious. Isabelle Adjani was already victim of the frozen face that affects all french divas of a ceratin age. The original film is a masterpiece alright. I watch it every once in a while and it surprises me how modern and sofisticated it is.
