"The Spider House Rules"

This is pretty funny as mash-up trailers go.

Thanks to Matt for bringing it to my attention. He asks a pertinent question "I like Spidey, but is anyone NOT rooting for Michael Caine in that fight?" Hee. My question: Why must every trailer use the classic Requiem for the Dream score? It's as bad as Hollywood's reliance on Danny Elfman scores for trailers.

John Irving and Stan Lee... now that's an unholy screenwriting team I wouldn't mind seeing.

I'm looking forward to their next collaboration, "The World According to Hulk."

I love these mash-up trailers when they're done well, but the only good ones I can think of are "Brokeback To The Future" (obviously), "Sleepless In Seattle" as a horror film, "Shining" ('The Shining' a la James L. Brooks), "Titanic 2" and now this. All the others are just amateurish.

Michael Caine is one of those actors who I would love to see do anything: comic book films, dramas, soft-core on Cinemax...where was I?

one mash-up that's worth seeing on YouTube is the Dark Knight trailer a la 1966. It is Heaven.
