I meant to post this Schweppes commercial starring Nicole Kidman months ago and forgot. It's not exactly breaking news but there must be some of you who haven't seen it and it makes me smile so why not share? Better late than never. It had me mentally flashing to her Chanel commerical, Eyes Wide Shut (the unzipping), Moulin Rouge! and even Slumdog Millionaire (little Latika co-stars)
Kidman's love interest in the commercial is Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal and I love this quote he offers up about her because whatever could it mean exactly?
She was only there for three days in Udaipur but kept herself always fit. She is when she is in front of the camera.
Arjun Rampal is not a real Bollywood megastar, such as Shahrukh, Aamir or Hrithik, but he's quite a commanding presence. this year he won the filmfare for his acclaimed performance of a retired guitar player in ROCK ON!, by the way a very nice picture
Coming to the conversation late, but, "What did you expect?" references the cultural standards of India in regards to sexuality. It still works though on a more superficial level if you aren't aware of such things.

It's an odd advert. But it just makes me more excited for NINE than anything else.
I think it would've been awesome for her to let out one big old belch though. Now THAT would've been unexpected.

we expect a Chanel nº 5 advert, not a Schweppes advert, that's what makes this advert funny, that "twist" on the audience's mind.
