mrripley -- i have no idea. not famous enough yet i guess. It did provide the volley for the spied enemies: a love story nomination though.

this scene in UNBEARABLE is all kinds of amazing

really amazing! this movie started my crush on Lena Olin (I knew she had worked with Bergman before but in 1988 I had't watched many movies from the swedish maestro) and Sabina was also the first character I fell for (even if it sounds so weird, I'm afraid)...Olin was in my supporting actress line-up...along with Weaver, Pfeiffer, MacDormand, Hershey and Geena Davis (with Weaver as the winning one, just like IMHO should have happened also at the Oscars)
I watched it before reading the book (maybe it was a good thing!) and I liked a lot...and I conserved my good impression even after reading Kundera's must.
What a pity Philip Kaufman hasn't directed more pictures...

Philip Kaufman is a director to pay attention to, always. He has been able to convey a signature of great screenplays with interesting themes.
