Pass the Joint

So when Find Me Guilty opened you told us your favorite film by Sidney Lumet was Network. Now that Inside Man is in theaters it's time to look back at all the Spike Lee joints [I haven't seen Inside Man yet... very derelict in moviegoing this year. I shall improve]. Vote on the poll: What's your fav' Spike Lee joint? Why?

The Best one is 4 me... "Do the Right Thing"... a shame Oscar didn't notice how good it was...

DO THE RIGHT THING, every fucking time.

Surprisingly so, 24TH HOUR goes a distant second.

But the former is a LANDMARK in both style and the way it portrayed racial conlicts.

CRASH MY ASS!!!! :)

probably DTRT, although i'm not as spike lee-versed as i should be..

on a related note, all throughout "Inside Man" i kept thinking how Nathaniel NEEDS to see this movie-- because Jodie Foster's performance *NEEDS* to be edited into that [amazing] "She's A Bitch" video... i thought she kicked ass in this movie-- a delectably bitchy villainous performance in a quite-good movie. SO much fun to watch...

While Do The Right Thing is the clear (by a mile) winner, I must say for some bizarre reason I really like Summer of Sam. Haven't seen many of these films though. Only ones I have seen are Thing, Sam, Bamboozled and 25th Hour.
