Awesome news about Lars. I don't care it's not "Wasington", I'm just thrilled he's doing movies after that depression thing.

Nathaniel, have you got any ideas on who should play Tennesee Williams in the biopic?

not really. he doesn't look like any actor I know.

i'd love for it to be a gay actor so that we don't do that annual "you're so brave for playing gay" idiocy again. Or at least a straight actor smart enough to call reporters on their shit when they start that up again.

i know it will never happen but i'd love to see major biopic roles go to unknowns once in awhile so we don't give the actor automatic points for BECOMING someone else and not being themselves again.

and lastly, Taylor Hackford ? errrr. his last biopic was so pedestrian. I L-O-V-E Tennessee Williams so I will be very angry if he gets the boring traditional bio (childhood glimpse + reductive idea that one event in your early life always Makes You Who You Are + rise and fall + death) ... in other words it better be a lot more like Capote and not much like Ray.

That picture Awards Daily uses for Tennessee Williams actually reminds me of Chris Eigeman. And not just because you also linked to a piece about Walt Stillman (who has used Eigeman in all his movies).

Um, I hate to say it, cause I know we all love Jake, but those stills make Prince of Persia look pretty disastrous.

Unless they're actually going for ridiculous.

i haven't seen any stills yet.

these are just photos of jake on set with Reese. i don't really trust set photos to tell how a movie is going to look. ever noticed how chintzy some costumes look once you see them in real life but on screen they look special?
