Regarding the contest, I had a great time making my pitch! Keep making more contests. ☺

You're playing it so safe with your predictions, Nathaniel... I kind of think Gyllenhaal will upest. Or else Michelle Williams. And I think Brokeback is taking score, too.

isn't that so weird of me?
I am usually the bravest of the prognosticators but I just don't expect to be surprised this year.

i reserve the right to change my mind on Friday night though ;)

Joe's inclusion of Shopgirl in his Worst list saddens me. As does labeling it a "confusion" because the film turns out to be a contemplative mood piece rather than the romcom it was sold as.

I'm also disappointed in you, dear Nat, after you supported the lovely Ms. Danes' shot at a nomination for so long, only to pass her over when she needed you. I shall therefor think of the FB Awards as unfinished until you see Claire in all her glory. It's a brilliant performance and a sad oversight on the parts of many, though there are some thankfully vocal supporters out there.

Netflix is telling you to become one of them when the DVD is released. ;-)

If you haven't done so yet, get yourself over to the "No Guts, No Glory" post over at Oscarwatch and let us all know which three upset specials you are secretly harboring.

And I'm with Pedro - I like the contests. How else will I share in the obsession?

Yeah, Shopgirl quite quite a few venomous reviews, but I personally liked it. Thinking back on it, I really liked Claire and also Jason Schwartzmann.
