Ask Jennifer

I'm interviewing Jennifer Jason Leigh later today (UPDATE: Here it is) and I thought I might involve a lucky few of you. What question would you ask her if you got the chance? Have at it in the comments. I might just ask your question in the interview.

are there any particular roles that have gone to higher profile or more bankable actresses that she would have liked.

was her dad the inspiration for becoming an actor

how does she feel about the lack of oscar love for her

does she realise swf is a camp classic

This isn't a terribly specific question, but I'd love to hear more about the whole process and production of "The Anniversary Party", which was effing amazing.

will she pursue projects with noah in the future?

I'd love to know if she has a character of her dreams she wants to play in the future.

And if there is a movie she regrets refused to be in.

Why she and Harvey Keitel left Eyes Wide Shut?

Is it true that Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise didn't get along with Harvey Keitel?

First, good luck with the interview and have fun chatting with her!

Looking at her filmography, she's had some roles that must have been both physically and emotionally grueling. It would be interesting to know how she approaches these types of roles (or scenes, like that horrid gang rape in "Last Exit to Brooklyn" for example) and how do they impact her personally. (Like her mood after she shoots the scene, for instance).

How did she cope with not being able to tie down and force-feed Christian Bale on the set of "The Machinist?"

Is it true you are good friends with Paul Thomas Anderson, and if so, when will you star in one of his films?

How many times she watched His Girl Friday before filming The Hudsucker Proxy?

1) What process does she go through before picking a role?

2) What influences her to take or persue a role? Great script? Director? Money? Cast?

3) What would she consider her DREAM role that she would do anything to play?

Wow, I wish I'd followed her career enough to have a good question to ask. Good for you, Nat. How are you getting all these great gigs??

um... maybe you've heard of me?

ha ha. I kid. No, but seriously, I'm just being more aggressive about it now. Still searching for my "break" so this writing lifestyle can support me.

I would ask her:

How it was to work with your husband and do you plan to do this again with Noah Baumbach someday?

Question: How did it feel living with Jack Black and Nicole Kidman?

Hardly an original question, but...

What do you think is your best role/performance?

What kind of self awareness the roles that you have played gave you?

What´s the one thing that keeps you in love with your craft after 20 y on the business?

What do you love and hate about the internet?

What´s the role/movie that most people remember you from?

You could ask her:

Do you prefer villain roles or unsympathetic characthers to romantic or historical heroins?

Are you at all aware how obviously your latest movie fails, Jennifer?

Ohwait, Nathaniel actually thought it was kind of good. *facepalm*

ha ha. i'm willing to ask hardball questions but i dont wanna go mean. ;)

and yes, MatW is a mess. But at least it's an interesting mess. I find it hard to really hate on movies that have strong fascinating elements even if the whole doesn't work.
