A Call From the Vatican

I wish my distractions were as delicious as Guido's in the musical Nine... beautiful actresses on every side, serenading me.

Jane Krakowski's TONY winning show-stopper "A Call From the Vatican"
Penélope Cruz will be interpreting this for the movie version

Oh wait! Those are my distractions. The nuts and bolts of tabulating all the submissions for this Actress Psychic Contest are keeping me quite busy. I know my own Oscar predictions for 2009 are due but the delays can't be helped. Other duties call as well. None of them are as welcome as Jane Krakowski (sigh). Posting will be light tomorrow. Collective Prediction and details will be up Thursday night / Friday morning. I'll aim for a big weekend. Thanks for your patience.

Coochie coochie coochie coo...
I've got a plan for what I'm gonna do to you

WOWZA! Give this woman a show!
I completely get it now why Jane Krakowski won that Tony. She should be headlining some film musicals with those skills. It's obvious that Cruz will bring the sexy but I don't know if her pipes can match Krakowski's.

You should have seen it live. She brought the house down. The only thing that was as acxiting in that show was Chita Rivera....otherwise, BIG YAWN!

I can't imagine that the movie is going to be any less annoying.

Wow, i think I'm realizing that except for James Bond, I really don't like sexist characters.

Nicole's rendition of "Unusual Way" is going to be the show stopper

what Chris said. This number live was UNREAL. Totally orgasmic (for Jane AND the audience)

That was excellent, but it took a lot of focus to take her singing seriously after seeing so much 30 Rock. She parodies her musical theatre cred so well on that show.

So that's it right. No more ballots?

Can we know now the colective prediction?

Sorry, but I really have to say this song belongs to Anita Morris. Did it originally in a lace body suit on a cube and at one point sang upside down between her legs.

You can see it blurrily here:

Just putting in my 2 about not forgetting the greats.....

I actually preferred Mary Stuart Masterson in Nine. I wish she'd go back to movie acting again. I miss her.
