Exercise with Roz

"Up Over, Up Down, Up and Stretch, Up Together, Up Down..."

Exercise is good for you. So why do some of us (ok, me) hate it so...? "No more 'up', this has got me down"

Is it wrong that I find these pictures hilarious? Anyway, I feel you about the whole exercise thing. It isn't worth all the hype... so said the guy who tends to associate any form of non sports exercise with the drug-user, smoky sounding voice of the oldest half naked woman on television - Denise Austin!!!! Aaargh!

Yeah exercise sucks. I keep saying I need a treadmill in front of a big-screen TV. Only if I can watch a movie at the same time, will I exercise.

See treadmills, weight machines, cycle machines etc etc all suck.

Jogs through parks, swimming, sports, do not. But that means leaving the house, and who can be bothered doing that?

ok, so this is off-topic but i have an interesting idea for a post/conversation... and i don't have my own blog to get it started... but what are some oscar-winning performances (maybe even oscar-nominated) in which the role isn't that special, but the actor actually won it on merit of what they did with the little they had to work with? so instances when an ok role that could've blended in by any other actor was turned into a brilliant performance? i'm guessing there are a lot of supporting performances like this

one example that comes to mind is rachel weisz in the constant gardener... any others?

I live in New York City. I walk at least six miles in the streets a day, on average. I reside in an apartment on the fifth floor of a walk-up building with high ceilings and no elevator. I exercise plenty.

Nick I guess this explains how I haven't gained 100 lbs sitting at the computer half the time

If you like seeing Roz exercise, you'll surely like this video:

Also I'm hoping this post is a reference to the "Luncheon With Roz" picture in Patrick Dennis's "Little Me", which I refer to on a near day-to-day basis.

Anonymous: Glenda Jackson's bizarre win for the totally mediocre romantic comedy "A Touch of Class" might be a good example of this. I'm pretty sure she won a second Oscar for it just because of how awesome she is at life...and she's given a million better performances in other films. Plus, she didn't even show up to accept the award because it was the seventies and it was completely unfashionable to go to the Oscars.

Jack... you should always believe that all posts are in reference to that which you'd like them to be in reference to.

benefit of the doubt/enjoyment!
