Click on the photo to go to my Summer Preview @ Towleroad...

Mr Stark and Ms Bradshaw. Summer arrives

Where I ask important questions like...
  • Carrie Bradshaw or Tony Stark: Which narcissistic diva in shiny clothing are you anxious to spend time with again?
  • Barely legal hairless teen werewolf or "Face" with a hairy bod?
Summer brings out the real deep questions, people! Answer them.

Good piece, Nat.

I'm sure I won't be seeing IM2...I didn't see the first one, and this one holds no interest for me.

I probably will see SITC2; the first one was a fun "popcorn flick," and this one probably will be, too.

As for "Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky," it's got its good and bad points. It's lovely to look at, and the costumes and sets (particularly Chanel's suburban villa) are fantastic.

The acting is not bad...but Mikkelsen and Mouglalis don't have a lot of onscreen chemistry together. They do manage to pull off their sex scenes, but otherwise you're hard put to figure out just what they see in each other.

Iron Man. I can't resist RDJ. Ever.

I didn't like either first parts that much, but I'll be seeing SATC2 and I think completely skipping IM2 (so far the reviews haven't been kind)

And to to think that a long time ago RDJ and SJP were a couple. I don't know if they were mismatched or perfectly matched, which is strange.

As a straight guy with hope for humanity, I would like to believe most anyone attracted to men would prefer Bradley Cooper's "hairy" chest.

I just think it's weird that a werewolf has a waxed chest? How is that right in any sense of identity? ;)

nathaniel, you're taking it too literally...like why would a shapeshifter need to juice to get ripped muscles? and how would a vampire's hair stand on end without a vat of mousse?

just ignore & move on...

i'm going to enjoy iron man 2 (as bad as it may be), prince of persia (with earplugs in), a deliciously intentially bad a-team, the likely excellent inception & the lovely the kids are alright. at least i'd like to think so.

I just can't make it through the Iron Man 1 DVD, so I probably won't see IM2.
I doubt I'll be seeing the A-Team either, so it's Taylor Lautner over Bradley Cooper for me.

I'l have to wait until July to see my choice diva, Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt.

In May, I'd like to see Robin Hood, Mother and Child, Letters to Juliet, and Babies. If they actually get released, I'd like to see Agora, Micmacs, Princess Kaiulani, and Looking for Eric.

In June, I'd like to see Splice and Twilight, and if released (near me) Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead, Coco Chanel and Igor Stravinsky, Ondine, and I Am Love.

Oh for goodness sakes - at this point in time RDJ can just sit there and I'll watch him. Embarrassing, I know.

And I will see Carrie and the gang - the preview makes it look so over the top I can't believe it. But anyone who would watch RDJ just sit there isn't gonna miss SITC2, is he?

And yes, Joseph K, I'd much prefer Cooper's "hairy" chest to waxed werewolf but, then again, you've got to show a certain amount of respect to musculature.

And continuity. If I've seen the first 2 how can I possibly miss the 3rd, you know?

The only sadness I'm having is that I think I'm going to far prefer stills from Persia rather than action. There is something awfully off in the Persian scenes I've seen so far...the only good one being when Jakey-Poo gets all flirty with the woman on the camel (I think she's on a camel - I mean, who cares, really, what she's on?). Now if it was only Meryl on the camel then we'd have something interesting...

Nathanial- Glad you're not down in Nashville with all the flooding! Made it out just in time.

Speaking of Prince of Persia...WHY does Gyllenhall have a phony British accent?? It's really off-putting!
