"Every Ending... Has a Beginning."

The Birds (1963) gets the prequel we definitely needed...

... because everyone hates movies without exposition / backstory. [/sarcasm] I love the gentle spoofing of our modern need for all mystery to be explained to us "We had no answer... until now". Ha!

Apparently this prequel trailer for Alfred Hitchcock's classic The Birds is a year old. But I'm just seeing it now thanks to @mattriviera and @mattzollerseitz so it's new to @me... and a delightful start to my morning it was, too. Good morning!

OT - Anyone seen the Love & Other Drugs Reviews? It doesn't sound Oscar-worthy. Variety was very positive, The Hollywood Reporter was somewhat positive, InContention was negative and Todd McCarthy was negative. I think we can take Hathaway's name out of the list for Best Actress

Hmmm. I'll wait. 4 reviews isn't much to go on and buzz has been all over the place for this one. we need consensus. (and even then, consensus on a lead actress is different than consensus on a film.)

Hahaha! Thanks for sharing, that was joyously funny.

It seems like it could just as easily be a sequel.

Hmm... which came first: "The Birds" or "The Eggs"?

I nominate Evan for Comment du Jour.

But seriously, is this for real, or is it one big yolk? (That was the worst pun ever.) I guess we'll never shell. (No wait, that one was.)
