I appreciated the innovative route this film took and, particularly, the last half hour had me in stitches. Diaz and Malkovich were great but Keener gave her best performance to date. Her character was definitely one of the cinema’s GREAT screen bitches. And from there I’ll credit the blazingly original writing- this was the film that first proved the genius of Charlie Kauffman. He deserved his Globe, WGA and Oscar nominations hands down. (Although the statues justly went to the god that is Alan Ball and his masterpiece American Beauty) Speaking of awards, I think Being John Malkovich’s Editing Oscar snub was one of the category’s most shameful ever made. (Pat yourself on the back BAFTA.) This film would not have worked without mastermind Eric Zumbrunnen.

Great moment.

Btw, Nathaniel, according to the Toronto film fest people, Brad Pitt and Sigourney Weaver are supporting. Both won supporting awards at the festival. And Cruz won another best actress award; I'm beginning to really believe in her for a nom.

The half floor is seriously one of my favourite sets ever.

The whole movie is great fun though.

Ha ha, my favorite moment in the film. I think I became a Keener fan directly after this scene.

Catherine Keener has never been sexier.
