The L.I.E - weird movie...I always wonder if Dano will fall into obscurity, he seems like one of those young actors that has a shelf life that's dated to his generation.

I actually always forget that he made this. Like he began his career with Little Miss Sunshine. And then I'm like OH, YEAH. Had already proved he could carry a movie way early.

Well Little Miss Sunshine was his pinnacle performance, he was vital to its success and magic, should have been nominated...but then in There Will Be Blood, while he worked hard and gave a commendable performance, it showed his limitations to me.

He's no Michael Cera. He will not wear hoodies, he will not wear too many ironic band t-shirts. He won't be Robert Duvall famous, but he can at best be Hal Holbrook famous. He will be in cinema forever.

Dano was excellent in There Will Be Blood. He will continue to field great roles in interesting and challenging films because that's his niche. Never underestimate an actor's ability to have good taste in movies. I get so down when talented actors choose poor movies. Dano is a good chooser.

L.I.E. is one of my favorite movies, truly subtle even as its subject is so outré. I remember Brian Cox's performance the most vividly though.

Thanks Liz! I watched a part of it. Maggie is just so sweet! I was once againb kind of embarrassed for the current cast of Les Mis. What a fantastic musical and what a pitty the producers don't respect it anymore.
