Lazy Marquee

Snapped with my iPhone outside one of the two big multiplexes on 42nd Street yesterday. It's quite a schedule.

Either someone is too lazy to type out full film titles or this theater is offering some pretty crazy personal services every 2 ½ hours.

[on an tangential note: this photo also neatly encapsulates my biggest pet peeve about multiplexes. If you have 12-25 screens and you're only going to show a few movies at a time, please knock down some walls and give us bigger screens again. Please and thanks.]

I prefer my dates to be R rated these days.

Thanks for that big "lol" you gave me Nathaniel.

So this theatre is only showing Date Night and Death at a Funeral? Wow! I didn't think theatre chains were so inherently socialist. (Everyone gets the same crap at this theatre, just at different content ratings.)

I think you should take a closer look at Vanessa Redgrave in Best Supporting Actress. She's poised to have her biggest year in ages with her Airy Summer Hit (Letters to Juliet), Relevant Political Drama (The Whistleblower) and, release date permitting, a Huge Shakespearean Part in Coriolanus. You can tell there's so much goodwill towards her in the industry right now and that's a triple-punch if I've ever seen one.

I think I'm even lazier than the guy who did that. Looking at the picture, I thought all movies with "date" were just a way to include any rom-com to which you take your date. And all those with "death" referred to horror movies. But in my defense, I'll say I'm overseas and I have no idea about what's on the multiplexes around there right now.

Off-topic, or rather, related to the Michelle Pfeiffer post above. I was watching Ewan McGregor interviews on youtube (I need my McGregor dose from time to time) and I got to Michael Sheen interviewed by Craig Ferguson (evil related videos!). And he (Ferguson) mentioned he had smelled Michelle Pfeiffer! I was so creeped out and jealous at the same time. Ok, so there it goes my sanity, I guess.
