Breakfast with... Ewan McGregor

"It's all in the grind; can't be too fine, can't be too course. This, my friend, is a science."
-Ewan McGregor as "Grimes" in Black Hawk Down.
Ohhh. Ewan McGregor on my French press. Want. I bet he'd be a great morning conversationalist.
I mean, you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials, yknow, about "Be All You Can Be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a ranger. Now it's 'Grimsey, black one sugar'...
On second thought...

Nothing kills a day quicker than self-pity with a side of morning whine*. Coffee is supposed to make you happy Ewan. Where's that famous smile?!

*I'm not judging. I've killed many a day like this. Resolution: All morning conversations from henceforth must contain positivity! Say something cheerful.

Would anyone want to see Michael Cera as a homicidal maniac? (That would certainly make the haters happy.)

McGregor would be a fascinating subject for the Posterized series. His career is all over the map.

Not only is that monologue whiny, it's also very hard to believe. You expect me to buy that the Army couldn't find anthing better to do with one of their Rangers in not one, but two conflicts but fetch coffee?

My brother loves to quote that "It's all in the grind" part.

I just thought of it now, but doesn't Ewan have most, if not all, of the comedic moments in Black Hawk Down? The coffee grind speech, the "Oh, yeah! Right!" response to the gunner's "No fear!" phrase, the "F---. This." running away from the explosion.

Ah... I love this movie. I must be sadistic. But I did love the book too.
