Day of Rest

Like Enrique here, I'm feeling totally wiped out (even if there's not much to show for it on the blog). So I'm gonna have myself a lazy Saturday. Talk amongst yourselves in the comments: consider it an 'open thread' for whatever you've been itching to communicate...

(next week will be more exciting)

OK then!

How is everyone?

I saw Sydney White today and it was a lot better than I was expecting. I hope to see Bourne Ultimatum and Cyrano de Bergerac later today, if I'm not swamped with homework.

Hope everyone's well!

:(

The Swedish release date for No Country for Old Men has been pushed back to 29 February. Seems like an excellent way to combat piracy to me! Just make those who don't illegally download the film wait for three months, so that when we finally get to see it, everybody else will have long stopped discussing it. Argh.

Finally saw Sweeney Todd. The audience were retarded ("Why is everyone singing?") and the vocal stylings of Johnny Depp and HBC leave a lot to be desired, but it was enjoyable enough and looked great. I thought Helena almost surpassed Johnny, I loved her in this. Well, except her first number about the pies, which was awful, poor thing. The film also reminded me of how irritating I find Timothy Spall and how sexy Alan Rickman's voice is.

nat - if you do one thing this year pelase please pretty please do lists from 80 - 99,i am still doing 85,86,87,88,97,98 & 07 so know how behind you can get but you do see things and films in a different light once a perf you loved can now seem either too small or too silly or not well played,i was greatly disapointed recently with witness esp ford but watched mosquito coast the day after and wondered why no nom, also saw davis and gish in the whales of august again why no noms and i know this is a silly fim but knowing your love of pfeiffer she ver looked more ravishing than in the witches of eastwick the perf i felt was perfect in it was veronica cartwright's of alien film surely supp actress material and 87 was a bad supp actress line up.
