Now Playing: Wooly Mammoths, Desperate Starlets and Skater Boyz

L I M I T E D
CJ7 Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) returns with a sci-fi comedy. Oh the cuteness of CGI creatures. I forgot them on the cute hierarchy the other day. Er...
Paranoid Park
a skater boy is involved in a crime in Gus Van Sant's latest contemplative drama
Married Life
a dramedy of sorts about a longtime married couple and the husband's awful exit plan. Starring Chris Cooper, Patricia Clarkson, Rachel McAdams and Pierce Brosnan
Fighting For Life another doc about the military in Iraq
Girls Rock a doc on young girls learning to rock at camp

Snow Angels Rising auteur David Gordon Green (George Washington, All the Real Girls) directs three intertwining couples at different stages of life. Starring Sam Rockwell, Griffin Dunne and (pictured above from left to right at the premiere) Kate Beckinsale, Michael Angarano and Juno's Olivia Thirlby
Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day
Frizzy frumpy Frances McDormand marches in to save delicious starlet Amy Adams in this period comedy. Amy sings again! Beautifully I should add. (my full review for Zoom-In)

W I D E
10,000 BC Roland Emmerich may well be the best (?) most prolific (?) most dependable (?) provider of giant sized dumb-as-a-bag-of-hair epics! Following up the nonsensical The Day After Tomorrow with CG representations of creatures you loved as a little kid like sabretooth tigers and wooly mammoths? It's like he went from the apocalypse to a reset button for the good planet earth. Expect it to make a gajillion dollars... even if nobody remembers it in a year, hell, next month.
The Bank Job Balding men rejoice. Bruce Willis no longer carries the torch alone. Rough and ready Jason Statham stars with the delectable Saffron Burrows (Aunt Petunia's girl!) in this heist thriller.
College Road Trip Martin Lawrence drives screen daughter Raven-Symone to college. Donny Osmond provides extra comic relief. Expect lots of dead air after the jokes [insert laugh track here] and --call me crazy but I'm willing to bet --shameless mugging!

There are wooly mammoths AND pyramids in the trailer for 10KBC. I'm assuming there's some explanation for this in the film, but I refuse to see it, so someone else is going to have to find out what it is.

There's no logic behind 10,000 BC. It's not even good enough to for me to say "Just go with it."

I really wanna know if the characters make mention of the title. Cause that'd be hilariously inept.
