Abracadabra


A new extra-magical season of The Film Experience starts on Saturday, September 2oth. Your favorite weekly series, old favorites, new experiments, celebrity interviews, contests and more in what we hope will be the liveliest season yet. Oscar ogling will also start in force with actress psychic discussions, a detailed look at the early contenders in the Best Foreign Film race and the other stuff (so many categories) Help spread the word and stay tuned...

i feel like i'm annie wilkes being teased by paul when he reads a few lines from the newest edition from the "Misery" series he is writing just for her....it's so exciting!!!! Oh Paul....oink oink!

As far as Oscar predictions go, there's an animated contender you didn't know about earlier. It's a French film-noir/horror anthology called Fear(s) of the Dark. It may or may not be eligible given that IFC is doing one of their weird multi-platform releases, but if it is, it may have a chance.

I'm still thinking about it...

but i think the book is a near masterpiece so it'll be a shame if people view this as a cliff notes thing.

strangely i'm less worried about The Road though that's a full out masterpiece ;)
