Watching that thing in the trailer was the best part of the whole "Avatar 3D experience".

Like Coraline, Alice in Wonderland seems to have used the 3D technology to actually serve the story. Ah, the story! Wish all movies had one!

Lucky, could not agree more!

Lucky's right. Definitely the best 3D effect in my "Avatar" screening.

Does this movie look terrible to anyone else? I mean, I hate the look of The Mad Hatter and the Red Queen looks so ridiculous with her fake looking, over sized head. I loved Alice in wonderland so I just really hope that this turns out good.

My problem with this movie is that you could see it's concept and execution coming from a mile away. "Tim Burton directs Alice in Wonderland" is as interesting and fresh to me as "Uwe Boll directs Space Movie". I don't expect one single surprise upon seeing this.

FFS, Tim Burton's Alice has as much of a story as Avatar. What makes this so much more original? Is it just because Burton admits that he has no more original ideas and must simply remake, adapt and reboot movies?

Well, yeah. That's why it is ok to quote sources in research papers and versus plagiarism.

(Not that it makes it more original, just less annoying.)

You can have original ideas outside of story. Isn't original to create a whole new world like Pandora or totally reimagine Alice and Wonderland's characters and setting?

If an artist paints a beautiful portrait do you say he or she is out of creative ideas? or do you say wow look at their take on the portrait?
