Lunchtime Poll: Showdown

I’m off to watch two A-C-T-O-R-S! (Christian Bale & Russell Crowe) square off in the new James Mangold western 3:10 to Yuma. Which leads me to this question.

poll: Which two actors would you like to see go mano a mano? And with what weapons? Guns, swords, bare hands, etcetera?

Tell all in the comments.

After careful and long deliberation (2 second) I would have to say Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman in a greek wrestling movie.

Second choice would be John Travolta and Tom Cruise in a scientology dance off.

Edward Norton and Brad Pitt, once again, but instead of using no weapons (like they did in "Fight Club", they could dress like Cowboys, use guns like in the old westerns and make a duel for my love!!! hahahahahahhahh

Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts, hands down. America's greatest living actress and America's sweetheart. Julia has the age advantage, but Meryl's probably already mastered every fighting style on the side just to prep for one of her roles. I'd say they could duel it out wielding their Oscar statuettes, but Meryl's so cool she probably doesn't even remember where she left hers.

Peter Sarsgaard and Edward Norton. Their weapons would be cutting insults and razor-sharp wit which they would hurl at each other with painful precision.

This is VERY random....but I really want to see a political thriller in which Chiwetel Ejiofor and Maribel Verdu play a team of hitmen hunting down a dead senator's girlfriend or something.

Academy Award-nominee Salma Hayek.

The friendship is over.

Do Christian Bale and Russell Crowe wrestle in 3:10 to Yuma?

That'd be hot.

Angela Bassett and Halle Berry. They have unfinished Monster's Ball business. If it were Mace vs. Storm, we all know who would win.

these are all great choices. the image of meryl streep and julia roberts using oscars in a blunt knife fight type of way cracks me up the most though.

sadly, i did not get to see Bale vs. Crowe tonite. long boring story... next screening, next screening

Daniel Craig and Viggo Mortenson in a knife fight in a Western.

Come on, you want it too!

Michael parsons stole my thunder. But, I would substitute Eric Bana for Viggo Mortensen with a choice of weapon being baby oil.

We're allowed to matchup actresses?

Keira Knightley vs Natalie Portman
weapon: fingernails

Go. (I'll be rooting for Keira)

This movie is terrible. It attempts nothing and succeeds. James Mangold is a shit director.

And, no, they don't wrestle. Bale is such a fantastic actor, in this he really convinces you he is, in fact, in this movie. Bad. Boring. Bad.

Rupert Everett vs. Kevin Spacey. The weapon? Witty bons mots. Rupert wins in a walk.

I've got two...
first i'll add to colin's... keira vs. natalie, weapons = tounges.

also the battle for greatest actor of the generation. Leo and Christian. both in their most badass roles, Billy Costigan with empty glass vs. Batman with utility belt
