lord were they wonderful in that.
i bow to lily tomlin.
*does so*
there's a sense of peace and... safety, actually, that i feel when i'm watching her. she's one of those very few actors with whom when you watch them perform, you feel at ease, even when the film itself isn't as light-hearted as they are. (and the band played on... is a wonderful example.)
and you can't say enough about hoffman. whoever got these two together has it down.

This is a ridiculously underrated movie.

And did you know Amy Adams has a cameo in it? THE Amy Adams?

No way! Who was Amy Adams? Was she one of the people in the conservative religious family?

Yeah, this movie rocked. Sometimes I don't like Tomlin so much, but here, she was perfect.

And Hoffman is the best actor ever.

Adams was the model that replaced Naomi Watts

huh? I thought that was Isla Fisher (the aussie gal from Wedding Crashers)

I'm SO going to check that out right this second.

1. It is indeed Isla Fisher who plays Heather. "You're the voice, I'm the face!"
2. Just watching a bunch of random scenes from that movie trying to find the correct scene really made me love that movie even more. It's truly a comedy that is funny every time. Which is rare.

i've actually confused isla and amy before too. I thought Amy was in wedding crashers. she is, however, very much not in wedding crashers. Oh and isla is one of the only good things about WC if you axe me.

Hah! Well, every time I think about Isla Fisher, I end up thinking about Junebug so I was bound to confuse her for Amy Adams one day. She was actually very good in both Huckabees and Wedding Crashers. I hope she'll make another movie I'd consider seeing in the near future.

I love me some Isla Fisher. She was my favourite on "Home & Away" when I was much younger and actually watched that piece of trash show (but that was at it's peak. Melissa George was also on there at that stage).

I hope she starts doing more than the ditz though. She is great.
