If you could...

...have the hair of one movie character rather than your own whose would it be? I think I might opt for Superman's spit curl or anything with a widow's peak. [This comment question is sponsored by Nathaniel's freshly shaved head and very random brain]

Rita Hayworth in Gilda, please.

I would also be willing to accept Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally, Catherine Deneuve in Belle de Jour, or Julia Robers in My Best Friend's Wedding.

David Bowie in any of his films.

Frank Fencepost(Adam Beach) from "Dance Me Outside." I haven't had long hair since I was five and I've always kind of missed it.

Also Hugh Jackman on "Scoop" has a great haircut.

Robbie (James McAvoy) in the first third of Atonement. It has such swoosh and yet it's so neat. And James looks so handsome with it, that I'd hope some of that gorgeousness would transfer on to me.

Bernadette Peters hair, whenever.

Jonathan Rhys-Meyers in "Match Point." He is so dapper and stylish in that role.

I'd like to try flame-hair à la Hades in Hercules.

And even though I'm a guy, who wouldn't want to have Clem's hair from "Eternal Sunshine" just for the heck of it?

i've been racking my brain to find a movie haircut that i would look great in, but no such luck.

But just for fun and the sheer awfulness of it:

Sweeney Todd's (Johnny Depp) insane hairdo with crazy white streak or Jules Winnfield's (Samuel L. Jackson) greasy Jheri curled hair.

I cringe with delight when i think about it. It should be fun to bring out the crazy.

I'm a little obsessed with Sean Young's hair in Blade Runner, but for me, I always wanted to rock the generation -x look ala Ethan Hawke in Reality Bites.
Although, if I was a girl, i'd kill to have Jane Fonda's mullet in Klute, or Bibi andersson's hair in Persona: So cute!

I liked all of Dil's hairstyles in "The Crying Game."

Don't ask me why, but I've always wanted to have the hairstyle of Rob (John Cusack) in HIGH FIDELITY. Shaggy, unkempt, no real responsibility. Seems like it would be perfect for someone like me (someone who is lazy about hair)...

Oh come on, this is EASY ... Brad Pitt in Johnny Suede.

noecito awesome choice. i love that there are claymation equivalents with snowmeiser and heatmeiser too in case you don't wanna be illustrated.

you know who i think has insanely awesome hair (not movies though)? Connie Britton on Friday Night Lights. That hair is GLORIOUS.

cristhian i was always obsessed with sean young's hair in Blade Runner... especially how it seeems like different hair altogether once she lets it fly for the love scene. two wigs or magic hair????

I would look bad-ass with Charlize Theron's hair from Aeon Flux with my beard... LOL.

Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman.
Julianne Moore in The Hours.
Meryl Streep in Silkwood.

I am ALWAYS envying the hair of others in movies, stuck with thin, limp hair myself...

Nothing is really coming to mind, though those new Nicole Kidman "Rabbit Hole" pics certainly made me envious...

I always dream of having big messy French hair (yes, it most certainly is country-specific) like Louis Garrel's in anything. A big dark mop of curls that always looks wonderful whether you're rolling out of bed in the early afternoon or getting matted with cigarette ash or for scowling at the bourgeois bastards from beneath...

I'd like to have Roger's hair from Rent. Unfortunately, I don't posses the ability for my hair to grow down. It only goes up...

I would enjoy having Bill Murray's hair from Kingpin, if only for a few days

Patrick Bateman's hair from American Psycho (Christian Bale's hair is always awesome)

Or then... McDreamy's (Patrick Dempsey's) in any of his films...

Derreck said...

ooh, i agree with Jorge with the Patrick Bateman pick.

I always wanted that yuppie/slick look.

Connie Britton DOES have amazing hair on FNL!

Anyway, I'm going with Aladdin. It's the perfect length and has that neat yet messy look I've been trying to get. Not bad for a streetrat.

It's so hard to just pick one! I've narrowed it down to 7...

1. Anyones hair in THE LOST BOYS, but especially Jason Patrick’s Jim Morrison Hair.

2. Rupert Graves Freddy Honeychurch hair in ROOM WITH A VIEW

3. Any of the surfer boy skater hair from DOGTOWN AND ZBOYS

4. Javier Bardems scary hair in NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN

5. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD hair

6. Paul McCrane’s big red Montgomery Hair in FAME

7. Harpo Marx hair is always a blast.

Rose said it first. Rita Hayworth in Gilda. The perfect head of hair (for a white woman).

Alec Baldwin's hair in The Hunt For Red October.

Actually, I'll just take all of Alec Baldwin.

Chris Walken's hair in Batman Returns!

Peter Chan took my answer!

Aladdin for the win!

I'd go with either Vincent Vega (just cause I've always wanted long hair), otherwise I'm working my way to looking like Joel Barish (my bangs are almost long enough)

P_T_D said...

Derek. Zoolander. Not even close.

Definitely Penelope Cruz in Vicky Christina Barcelona..it's long and sexy and a little bit fluffy and messy. I'd also be okay with Cher's hair in Clueless.

But I agree also like huge curly hair and agree with the people who said Meg Ryan, Julia Roberts, etc.

hands down...

Patrick Swayze in Point Break. the mane of a lion

I'd have to agree with JA on French hair.
Brigitte Bardot, Yvette Mimieux, Catherine Deneuve and her sister Francoise Dorleac for non-aquiescent blondes, and Monica Vitti from Italy.

For brunettes, I like Sophie Marceau. And Salma Hayak and Penelope Cruz in their western together had great hair.

Hands down Ariel from the Little Mermaid she had the coolest hair!

robert redford in all the president's men or aaron eckhart in the dark knight... love the shiny, voluminous blonde locks

I should be ashamed to have even seen this movie... but Edward Cullen in Twilight. That gravity defying doo is enough to make my hyperventilate badly in a hospital bed.

NATHANIEL R said...

JoFo lol. i hope they give you more than one take. Kristen certainly needed it ;)

Slayton ooh yeah. Aaron Eckhart. Slick almost never looks better than on him.

Chris na one must never bring up Freddy Honeychurch on this site else you send Nathaniel into tailspins of 80s reverie and boyhood crushes.

Jorge Patrick Dempsey. The universe just isn't fair.

I'm happy to hear so many curly hair fans... even Catherine going for Bernadette Peters! because doesn't it seem like curly is often shunned?

Galadriel's hair in Lord of the Rings!

For a technical film, I guess I'd go with Leslie Nielsen in Airplane! for the kick of it. But, I also view Johnny the Homicidal Maniac as basically a film story board, so...yeah...Nny's black/dark blue greasy hair would be my ultimate pick.

FrenchGirl said...

if i was a guy,i would like the hair of Desmond Harrington in Hole!
otherwise i like Racheil Weisz hair usually! or Michéle Mercier hair in Angélique, marquise des anges!
