Jackie Brown.

Tarantino's most undervalued film, wish he would go back to his form of understatement.

I think we all agree by now it's his best movie, right?

Glendon -- thanks.

Cal -- hmmmm. not me. But in truth i didn't finish watching the whole thing again. I'm partial to Pulp but also Kill Bill Vol 1 ....which i'm crazy about because it seems like his most visually accomplished work. and i like my movies real visual ;)

It's amazing how for a filmmaker who has made great movie after great movie - I'd only rank Basterds as below an A- - that there's still one title that sticks out being beyond, and that is Jackie Brown. Love it to death.

I love how this movie Jackie Brown is understated, romantic, discreet. It's not a big and sweet ice cream of cinema, like his other movies. It's a French dessert.

It's so sophisticated!

I love ice cream, too, but this is something beyond special.

(I still can't see how anyone could separate Kill Bill 1 and 2 for this purpose. I like vol.2 better, but they're both brilliant when it comes to visuals. The shooting during the rehearsal of the wedding is his most accomplished scene ever. The whole segment with Pai Mei with its different colors and cinematography and the whole Sergio Leone thing in the desert. It doesn't explode blood or have a Japanese cartoon inside, but it's equally brilliant. Like the whole movie, it's more understated than the ultrapop Vol.1. And, maybe for this reason, it has more depth. Every single line is genius, every silence in which the movie invests time is beautiful, every single movement in a very slow narrative is calculated. Isn't it beautiful to see Bill and Beatrix talking about nothing when he plays the flute? Kill Bill 1 is the Reservoir Dogs for the Vol 2's Jackie Brown).

My favourite movie of all-time. Got to watch it again on late night TV and it still packs that powerful punch at the end.

You get CBC in the States too? This was on TV last night. I didn't care if it was 45 minutes into the movie, I watched it till 4 am.

When I first saw this image, I thought it was Little Miss Sunshine. Then I sort of self-corrected in my head, scolding myself in the process: "The VW bus didn't look like that, you idiot!"

Wow. I didn't realize that I put the car and a time-stamp in a movie together so quickly to think of "Jackie Brown" before I read the comments. Definitely, one of my top3 favorite films ever. How did Pam Grier miss out on a nomination that year?
