She Hulk

random useless thought of the morning

By now you've undoubtedly read any of the number of pieces on The Incredible Hulk's 'bumpy road' towards release/relaunch. But here's one way they could have saved on budget...

Cast Tilda Swinton instead of Ed Norton and you don't even have to fake the eyes, no expensive contacts or visual effects processing required for those gamma-rayed peepers.

Now I know what you're saying: 'Tilda is a woman -- it'd have to be She-Hulk'. But listen up: Tilda already rocked it out as a man in Orlando (1992) and she was perfection.

I still don't understand the need for another Hulk film. Not, granted, I generally don't "get" the whole comic-book-movie thing anyway. I wasn't a fanboy (or girl, rather) so it's not my world, and I understand that a lot of the people running the show now are former fanboys who get to put their fantasies on celluloid.

But WHY another Hulk film? Can someone here please give me an intelligent explanation of this? Ang Lee's was not that long ago, and I don't recall that it exactly rocked the box office. (In any case, the new one will have tough competition with Iron Man.)

I'd ask "who is going to rush out to see a Hulk film with Ed Norton?" (we all go slumming from time to time, right, Ed?) but one could ask the same of RDJ in Ironman - and if I do see it, he's the only reason I will. ("Face it, this is not the worst thing you've ever caught me doing." NO ONE could deliver that line like RDJ. I just hope his perf doesn't get overwhelmed by the CGI.)

Nat,

Are those green eyes legit?

Am I incredibly stupid for even asking?

i did not retouch the photo if that's what you're asking.

I just saw 'Orlando' not two weeks ago. Absolute perfection. I tried to watch 'Yes' when it came out (this is post-Allen-in-TUOA, and a fervor was stirring in me) but I couldn't wrap my head around it. (I was 18)

Me thinks it's time to give it another go.

And I will now officially see anything this woman does.

Tilda Swinton should play FranNFurter in a Rocky Horror remake, am i wrong?

My guess is that *someone* retouched the photo a bit -- probably just turned up the color saturation and/or the contrast. We've seen close-up shots of her before, right? And have we ever seen her eyes looking quite that vivid? But it's a terrific photo. And why *not* have a movie about a She-Hulk?

Nat,

I'm not suggesting that, I just wonder if it's possible to really have eyes that green. Like Creamy Jade.

Or if they are just contacts.

Why bother with cross-dressing? Methinks it would be far more interesting to reboot the series with the Hulk as a woman (especially if played by Tilda Swinton).
