Monty is OK. Physically...

Just an FYI for those who expressed concern about last Friday's kitty post, Monty's check up went fine. But get this ~the Vet gingerly suggested that my adored feline has anxiety/depression problems and thinks he should be on Prozac. Yes, you heard that right.

Only on the Upper West Side...

hah! That is brilliant (but also sad!)

I can't believe that make prozak for cats let alone have to prescribe it.

My family's dog once had an awful allergic reaction to antibiotics containing sulfa, and the vet said that the only drug she could take that would do the trick was Cipro. This was in January 2002, not so long after the anthrax scares. Crazy.

Sorry about your cat's depression...

Upper West Side?

Nath, what kind of job do you have, or is it inheritance?!...

sadly i am possessed of neither an inheritance or an apartment on the upper west side.

oh and kamikaze. they don't make prozac for cats. they just prescribe smaller doses of the human variety. (i'm not kidding)

huh. i'll see your anxiety/depression and raise you my cat, who stopped eating all of the sudden one day, the vet said this was because our other cats were picking on him for being "too fat". i shit you not... and i live in the bush!
